BenchiContactBot
BenchiContactBot is the web crawler run by Benchi (benchi.io). Benchi negotiates car leases on behalf of its customers. When a customer asks us to request a quote from a dealership, and we don't already have a way to reach that dealership's sales team, BenchiContactBot reads the dealership's public website to find the sales contact it publishes.
How to recognise it

What it reads
- Scope: your homepage, plus up to four pages that look like staff, team, sales or contact pages. That's at most five pages per visit.
- When it visits: only when a customer's request includes your dealership and we don't already have a working contact for you.
- Rendering: if a staff page only shows its content after scripts run, it's loaded in a browser (at most two pages per visit). Images, video and fonts are not downloaded.
- What it keeps: email addresses you publish yourself, together with the name and title shown next to them. We never guess an address from someone's name.
- What it skips: service, parts, finance, HR and reception contacts.
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't log in, submit forms, or click through anything interactive.
- It doesn't get around access controls, CAPTCHAs or bot protection. If your site blocks it, it moves on.
- It doesn't collect personal information beyond published sales contacts.
What we do with the contact
- We use it to send your dealership one customer's lease-quote request. The first email is from Alex, Benchi's AI leasing advisor, and says so.
- If you ask us to stop, we won't email that address again.
How to control it
BenchiContactBot follows robots.txt, including rules addressed to it by name. To block it entirely:

To keep it out of specific pages only, list those paths under the same User-agent line.
